Last Updated: April 15, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how RunTests AI (“RunTests”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, processes, and protects information in connection with your access to and use of the RunTests AI platform and related services (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the processing of information as described herein.
2. Scope and Roles
This Privacy Policy applies to all information processed by the Company in connection with the Service, including data submitted by Users, data obtained through integrations with third-party systems such as TestRail, and technical information collected through use of the platform.
In the context of data protection laws, the User acts as the data controller with respect to all test data and content submitted to or processed through the Service, including data originating from third-party systems. RunTests AI acts solely as a data processor, processing such data on behalf of and in accordance with the instructions of the User. The Company does not determine the purposes or means of processing such data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
3. Information We Process
In the course of providing the Service, the Company may process account and administrative information, including identifiers such as name, email address, organization details, authentication data, and communications submitted by the User.
The Service also processes operational data necessary for automated test execution. This includes test cases, test steps, test runs, execution configurations, results such as pass/fail statuses, and related logs, artifacts, and metadata. Such data may be structured or unstructured and is processed strictly for the purpose of enabling the functionality of the Service.
Where the User enables integration with TestRail, the Service may access and retrieve data from the User’s TestRail instance, including test cases, test steps, test runs, and associated metadata. The Service may further process this data by interpreting test steps using artificial intelligence systems, executing them in a controlled environment, and generating execution outputs. These outputs, including results, logs, and artifacts, may be transmitted back to the User’s TestRail instance.
The Company acts solely as a technical intermediary in this process. All data accessed through TestRail remains under the control of the User, and the Company does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or legality of such data. The User is solely responsible for ensuring that it has the necessary rights and legal basis to permit such access and processing. These processing activities are consistent with the functionality described in the Terms of Service .
In addition, the Company may automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including IP address, device and browser information, system logs, and usage patterns, to support operation, security, and performance monitoring of the Service.
4. Purposes of Processing
The Company processes information solely for the purposes of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service. This includes enabling automated test execution, supporting integrations with third-party systems, monitoring system performance and security, and enhancing functionality.
Where applicable, anonymized and aggregated data may be used to improve machine learning models and system performance, provided that such data does not identify the User or disclose confidential information.
The Company does not use Customer Data for advertising purposes.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
The Company does not sell or rent personal data. Information may be disclosed only where necessary to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, or protect the rights and security of the Company and its Users.
In particular, the Company may engage third-party service providers to support infrastructure, hosting, analytics, and system operation. Such providers are contractually bound to process data only on behalf of the Company and in accordance with appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Where the User enables integrations with third-party systems such as TestRail, data is transmitted between systems at the direction of the User. The Company does not control and is not responsible for the data handling practices of such third-party services.
The Company may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to enforce agreements or protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats.
6. Data Retention
The Company retains data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Data may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required.
7. Data Security
The Company implements commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Such measures include access controls, secure infrastructure practices, and monitoring systems. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. International Data Transfers
Information processed by the Service may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside the User’s country of residence. Where required, the Company implements appropriate safeguards to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
9. User Responsibilities
The User is solely responsible for ensuring that all data provided to the Service has been collected and is processed in compliance with applicable laws. The User is also responsible for configuring integrations securely and maintaining the confidentiality of all credentials, including API keys and access tokens.
The Company shall not be liable for unauthorized access, data loss, or security incidents resulting from the User’s failure to properly manage credentials or configure integrations.
10. AI and Automated Processing
The Service utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to interpret and execute test steps. Such processing is inherently probabilistic and may produce outputs that are incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent. The Company does not verify or validate such outputs, and the User remains solely responsible for reviewing and relying on them.
11. Changes to This Policy
The Company reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Service following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
